Note to self.....

its important to remember to slow down

don't worry about that massive folding pile taking over the couch

or that there is nothing for dinner and you haven't been to the gym

forget about the to-do list that is much longer than you like it to be

Sometimes its nice to change a day of running errands to just being instead.

You will remember today for the smiles of delight when she realises its ok to get wet and how many special shells were found.
Making friends with strangers because they have castle building equipment and wiping sand away from tiny little feet.

We're back...

Here is a few holiday snaps from our amazing holiday in Hamilton Island. What a stunning part of this fabulous country and The Great Barrier Reef ~ WOW!! We thoroughly enjoyed EVERY moment and Louise was in her element - pool, beach, friends, food and lots of laughs. I celebrated a Birthday there, held a baby Koala, ate amazing food (did not COOK for the whole week) and really, really relaxed. A highlight would definitely be the seaplane we took to the Great barrier reef and then dropped us on most beautiful beach I have ever seen to play for a while (truly a one in a lifetime dream moment).

Its so sad to come home and see the devastation mother nature has thrown Queensland and my heart and thoughts are with the people this is affecting as I type.

If you feel as helpless as I do why not join in with a number of Auctions and fundraising efforts currently underway in both the blogging and crafting community around Oz.

Here are a few links for you....

Lets hope the deluge ends soon!!

Point + Shoot : 30

Sunday 10th October 4.30pm

The weather gods were so kind this weekend and we are finally having some beautiful sunny spring Sundays. We spent the afternoon at our favourite city beach spot before heading into town for rooftop pizzas and a little dancing for Lou :)
Last year Lou always seemed a little apprehensive about walking up to the water but lately she has been nagging us to get back there. She couldn't wait to put her toes in the water and in the end she stripped off to her undies just so she could sit in the freezing salt water.
Looks like there will be lots of sunny Sundays spent here this year.

How was your weekend? What did you do? Why not check out what everyone did in Chantelle's -  Point & Shoot and Claire's - Week-a-boo!!

Point + Shoot : 22

Sunday 11th July 11.00am

Sunday was a such a lovely sunny day here in Melbourne - not much happening around our house this weekend. There was a bit of gardening, shopping and washing {of course} - we did however pop out for a lovely breakfast on Sunday and had a very nice dinner with my family Sunday night.

Point + Shoot : 5

Melbourne was so kind to us again this weekend by providing
another two glorious days of weather.
So while I a had a list of chores a mile long we opted to spend
it outdoors instead doing lots of fun things.
For Point + Shoot this time round I chose to show you some (couldn't pick just one) snaps of our Sunday Morning bike ride
- surprisingly something I love to do.
We ride through the suburbs we dream of living in, visit our favourite coffee shop then always head to the beach.

Hope you all had a lovely weekend!

Might post some photos later in the week from my catch up with some madeit buddies
{If Tania will lend me some}
Don't forget to check out the other P+S lovelies here
