A cake for Martha

My brothers gorgeous girlfriend is off back home to Ireland tomorrow so I thought this occasion deserved a special goodbye cake. Totally loving the mini buntings - they make a perfect cake topper. I've been wanting to try a layer cake for sometime now - this one is was especially yummy. Its Raspberry Ripple Vanilla Cake with Cream cheese Icing and a sneaky layer of crumbled chocolate Flake goodness.

Farewell sweet Martha ~ you will be missed

I'm taking part in Point and Shoot once more over here

Oh yum! How beautiful! I love bunting cake toppers too. A friend of mine makes them - they make things look so special.

Will Martha be coming back? xx

Thank you everyone - Hopefully she will return sometime next year. The latest Donna Hay Kids has the Cream Cheese Icing Recipe I had to double it though. I winged the cake - you could use anything to get the tiers - just double the quantities and bake in four separate tins remembering to check them as they will cook faster. Next time I will probably trim them down a bit more as they were monster sized slices hmmm... then again maybe not - Thanks for reading
